The Painted Katie
Ten years ago I packed my green Honda Civic to the brim and headed to Charleston, SC, fueled by little more than a mustard seed of faith and a head full of dreams. Nearly a decade later, God has been so faithful in allowing me to be a wife and mother to four children (and a very cuddly puppy named Huggins) while pursuing a career as an artist.
The Painted Katie was born out of a lifetime of insatiable creating, doodling in the margins of school assignments, and begging my dad to get me more copy paper to draw on. It is my way of using artistic expression to glorify God and point others to Christ, the Master Artist. The Painted Katie is more than just a business - it’s a mission. A portion of all proceeds is donated to two global missions efforts that are making an eternal difference in the lives of children who are victims of poverty and persecution because of their faith - Remember Those and 58ten.
Each piece is designed to be reach beyond the canvas and into the hearts of each recipient. Whether it’s a written passage of Scripture on the back, an outgoing prayer offered as I drop it in the mail, or a handwritten note of gratitude - I want every offering to be a blessing to each space it graces.
God created you for a purpose too, and I hope each piece reflects that sentiment and encourages you to step into the uniquely fashioned, wonderfully made, one-of-a-kind YOU. Each person is a canvas equipped with unique talents, abilities, and gifts expertly crafted by the masterful hand of a loving Father. I pray that my artwork will in some way reflect the beauty and peace that can only be experienced by a true relationship with the Master Artist.
