Independent Artist

Emma Carr is a Mississippi-born artist now based in Huntsville, Alabama. She’s been painting for as long as she can remember, inspired early on by her grandmother, a professional watercolorist who played a huge role in shaping her love for art. Emma went on to earn a degree in fine art with a concentration in graphic design from Mississippi State University, but her art journey began much earlier, selling her first paintings at just 14 through her mom’s social media.

In October 2023, she made the leap into full-time art and launched Emma Carr Art. Best known for her vibrant hummingbirds, her work blends realism and abstraction through layered texture, florals, and expressive marks. She’s constantly evolving her style, but her hope is to create art that invites people in, tells a story, and makes beauty feel both approachable and accessible.
