Independent Artist

Art has always been a natural part of who I am. Drawn to color, texture, and the freedom of creating, I’m a self-taught artist whose work blends abstract expression with intentional design—where intuitive marks meet balanced composition.

Before becoming a full-time artist, I spent years in business and finance. During a challenging season of life, painting became a form of healing and self-expression. What began as something deeply personal soon resonated with others, leading to commissions and the start of my artistic career.

In 2016, I expanded beyond canvas, incorporating hand-painted fabric into my work. That evolution grew into the Carrie Pittman Collection, featuring handbags, pillows, wallpaper, and home accessories—bringing art into everyday spaces in meaningful ways.

Today, I collaborate with designers, retailers, and individuals to create original art that enhances environments and tells personal stories. I live in Birmingham, Alabama, with my husband, Alan, and our two dogs, and I remain deeply committed to giving back to my community.

My work is guided by the same goal it always has been—to offer beauty, hope, and connection.
